Notes on Giving to Mission Malawi 2012 – The “Test God Challenge”
Please give to God’s work in Malawi! Give because you feel compelled to help orphaned and destitute children. Give because you are inspired to take part in a movement to raise a generation of children that genuinely care for those less fortunate. Give “to receive” a blessing!
Wait… Backup a second… Give “to receive”? Yes, dear reader, God (the One who ordained this particular missions trip) promises that when you give to Him, He will outgive you back! I believe that God will be faithful to deliver on His promises. Therefore, I am offering you a challenge…
The “Test God Challenge”
Usually, when one challenges or tests God in the Bible, things end poorly… Some folks get swallowed up by the earth while attempting to test God, others immediately drop dead… However, at the end of the book of Malachi, God makes an exception to the norm and offers us a challenge:
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Christians often use this verse when asking people in their church to “tithe” (give 10% of their income to the church). I believe that not only does this work, but that there is a deeper spiritual principal at work. I have seen this work in my own business! The more I gave in my business, the more it grew and prospered for reasons that I can’t explain without divine intervention. I am very grateful to those that helped make it successful, but the credit ultimately must go to God! He used a motley crew (with a crazy leader) to do some incredible things…
Therefore I guarantee your gift to Children of the Nations. The money that you send in to help fund this mission trip to Malawi, will result in a blessing to you in some way, or your money back. If you do not see God pour out his blessing upon you and your family as a result of your faithfulness and selflessness, then please contact me and I will refund the gift. Either way, you end up with a 501(c)(3) tax write-off (which means that if you ask for your money back, you end up with an INFINITE return on investment… 0 money in and a greater than 0 tax benefit results in an infinite NET gain… thereby proving God by default… but I digress…).
